Feminine Archetypes

The Feminine Archetypes.png

Through my work with hundreds of moms, I began to see a pattern that informed their personalities and how they showed up in the world.

This pattern can be separated into 7 Feminine Archetypes. In this blog, you’ll learn about three of them:

  • The Priestess

  • The Seer

  • The Storyteller/Artist

The Priestess

The Priestess is a female priest of sorts, she is a mystical bridge between the worlds, channeling information, creating beauty and harmony through what she does and how she does it.

She is so devoted to her purpose that she may find it difficult to put her personal life or relationships first, as she feels such a duty to her work. (This can include her "work" as a mother to her children, but could also include her career or a passion project.) She feels a great responsibility to ensure everything is perfect and that there is beauty, harmony and balance in her world.

In order to serve in a sustainable way, the Priestess must learn to serve herself first.

The Seer

The seer has incredible intuitive abilities and can see things that others cannot. Like the Priestess, she is a bridge between the seen and unseen worlds.

Highly sensitive and visionary, there is an intensity to her because she is unafraid to journey deep and to often dark places- where she faces her shadows head-on. Her clear vision allows her to say to cut through any inauthenticity and she can tell if someone is not showing their true self.

She has a tendency to say it like it is, and this can sometimes trigger those who are unaccustomed to such boldness.

The Storyteller/Artist

The Storyteller/Artist loves to express herself, to share her opinions, ideas and creations. She makes a powerful speaker, writer, performer, and teacher.

She is rarely lost for words and feels passionate about passing down information. She receives so many ideas that it is important for her to find channels for her creations to be funneled into and shared.

She is at her most powerful when she is focused on passing down her wisdom rather than being the student who feels unprepared.

The Healer

The Healer feels things very deeply. She is unconditional with her loving. A natural empath, she is highly sensitive to her environment. She has a huge heart and a great capacity to relate to others during their darkest hour.

She sees the wholeness inside people and is slow to judge. You can say just about anything to her and be accepted with unconditional love. She sees the good in all.

She needs to remember that in order to heal others she must first tend to herself and her own healing.

The Warrior/Wild Woman

The Warrior/Wild Woman is fierce! She is the game changer and the activist. You do not want to mess with this Mama Bear because she is not afraid to take a stand for what she believes in.

You can often find her speaking out about issues she feels need to change. And you cannon restrain her. She is boundless.

She needs to remember to fight for what she is FOR rather than resist what she is AGAINST.

The Witch/Medicine Woman

Like the Seer, the Witch/Medicine Woman has the ability and desire to go into the shadows in order to find the light. Throughout history, she has been misunderstood and at times mistreated. She often feels fear or defensiveness around being accepted by the world.

At her essence, she is deeply connected to the cyclical nature of life, of the seasons, the moon and her body. She sees the sacredness of all life and knows how to use the elements to create magic for herself and those she serves.

The Earth Mother/Midwife

Ah, the Earth Mother! She is here to usher int he new by encouraging, supporting, and assisting others. She is very grounded and possesses mother-bear-like energy when seh needs to protect what is being birthed.

She is VERY compassionate and hands-on as a mom and makes an incredible host. She loves being surrounded by people.
